SPEED REVIEW (SUMMARY)

When it comes to vaporizer, the size of the cloud is definitely one of the biggest factors on most people's minds. And when it comes to the size of the cloud, the Plenty is one vaporizer that does not disappoint. The clouds of vapor that it produces are so large, thick, and potent that we can hardly contain ourselves when we use it. This is a true one-hitter-quitter and if that's what you're looking for, look no further because this the one you want. It's not portable, although it is a handheld, and it's not the cheapest, although not that expensive, but it sure can produce a lot of vapor quickly. So much so that you'll actually want to exercise a bit of caution when using it, otherwise you might find yourself stuck on the couch. To buy this incredibly powerful dual-use vaporizer by one of the world's most well known and respected vape manufacturers, Storz & Bickel, click here to buy it from an authorized Storz & Bickel dealer.

*This is a quick summary, in-depth review below.

Temperature

While other vapes use fancy displays and simple lighting systems to convey the temperature, the Plenty takes a different route, one that’s reminiscent of the pressure gauge on an ordinary bike pump. With its analog display, a quick glance is all it takes to check the current temperature of the heating element. In order to adjust the temperature, simply spin the dial on the side to choose between any of its seven preset temperature settings that range from approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit to 420 degrees Fahrenheit. While some vaporizers require higher heat settings to produce thick, full-bodied vapor, the Plenty has no such necessity as it easily produces thick clouds at lower temperatures, making its top-end temperature of 420°F seem like complete overkill. So while other vapes do have the ability to reach higher internal vaping temperatures, the Plenty’s range, although slightly limited in terms of degrees, is actually more than adequate and by no means inhibits the production of massive clouds as that’s exactly what you’ll get with this vape: clouds so big you can live in them.

To engage the heating element, simply pull the trigger by squeezing the handle. On the inside of the handle is a large button of sorts that engages the heating element when pressed. Squeeze it, hold it, and it’ll heat up. Let it go and it’ll disengage the heating element. Subsequently, there’s no need for an auto-shutoff safety feature because the heat is only engaged while it’s in use.

Heat Up Time

In comparison to portables, which the Plenty is not given its corded design, the heat up time, approximately 3 minutes, is well over par. But in comparison to other desktop vapes — which is essentially what it is, only a handheld variant — its 3 minute heat up time is about on par with what we see from the rest of the crowd. In other words, its heat up time is about average by desktop vaporizer standards. Not great, but not bad either. Somewhere in the middle. We’d call it acceptable at worse, pretty good at best.

Battery Life

The battery life with the Plenty is a non-issue given that it’s designed to be plugged into a typical wall-mounted electrical outlet. Subsequently, this is not an aspect that we took into account with this vaporizer as it’s basically a desktop vaporizer, not a portable.

Weight & Size

Weighing in at just 2 pounds, the Plenty is one of the lighter plugin vapes on the market. Not that it matters in the case of most desktops, but seeing as it’s designed to be held in one hand while in use, it does matter in this case. Fortunately, holding a couple of pounds in your hand, for most folks, is no big deal. As for its size, it measures in at 4 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. It’s big, but seeing as it’s not a cordless portable, it hardly matters. Definitely a comfortable weight, size, and shape for holding and using for an extended period of time – which probably isn’t something you’ll do given how potent it is. A few quick rips and you’re done, if that. For the most part, this is one of those vapes that we just take a draw or two and call it quits because it’s so powerful that anymore would just be overkill.

Problems

We’ve yet to run into any serious issues with this vape after years of extensive use. While that’s obviously a good thing, that’s not to say that we haven’t had any issues with it. Or to be more specific, that we haven’t had an issue. When we first got ours, we noticed a strange odor emanating from it, which we narrowed down to the mouthpiece and cooling coil. After running numerous heat cycles in an attempt to burn off whatever might be causing it with no success, we eventually reached out to Storz & Bickel America to help us out and that’s exactly what they did. Without question, they sent us a replacement cooling coil and mouthpiece, which, surprisingly and for reasons unknown, worked great. However, we did notice that the taste of the vapor it produces is a little less appealing than what we see with some of their other products and other vaporizers by other manufacturers for that matter. For us, we seem to be highly sensitive to the taste of plastic so the plastic mouthpiece is perhaps not an ideal fit for us. Still, it’s hard to complain given how well it works. If you too are hyper sensitive to the taste and smell of plastics, you may want to take a look at another vaporizer, like the company’s more expensive Digital Volcano.

Cleaning & Maintenance

When it comes time to clean this vape, which is something you’ll want to do occasionally, it’s actually a breeze. For the most part, all you’ll need to do is brush out the chamber that holds the blend, which takes a matter of seconds. In addition, you’ll want to give it a thorough cleaning every once in a while – whenever it needs it. To do so, soak the cooling coil, screens, and the metal part of the blend chamber in isopropyl alcohol for about 30 minutes to an hour and then rinse them under warm water. Make sure that all components you’ve washed our completely dry before reattaching them to the vape, otherwise you could damage the vape itself. And just for reference, for those of you who are on the lazier side of the cleaning spectrum, you’ll be pleased to find that you can go without a thorough cleaning for a really-really long time, like a year or more, so long as you’re cleaning the blend chamber regularly.

Usage Tips

Here are some tips we’ve compiled for all of you to help you get the most out of your Plenty vaporizers. If you have any tips of your own that you’d like to share with our readers, please email us and we’ll be sure to share them with everyone here in this review.

  • To pack a small amount of dry blend, use the Liquid Pad accessory designed for concentrates to take up the extra space in the chamber. This way, you won’t have to fill it in order to efficiently and effectively vaporize a small amount of ground blend.
  • For the biggest hits, grind your blend very fine using a grinder like the Finishing Grinder by Magic-Flight and crank up the heat to the highest setting. Then take a long, slow, and steady draw. You’ll be impressed.
  • To vaporize concentrates, which is something that all of the Storz & Bickel vaporizers currently on the market are capable of, simply insert the Liquid Pad into the blend chamber and apply your concentrates to it. Then, vape as you normally would. We suggest using the higher temperature settings for the best cloud production.

Comparisons

While we could go on and on comparing the Plenty to other vaporizers like the new Pax, Extreme Q, and so on, the truth is that this vape is in a class of its own. It’s a handheld with a cord that’s extremely powerful. If you’re looking for massive clouds from your dried blends, look no further than the Plenty because it is truly one of the best vapor producers as far as volume is concerned. It produces so much vapor that you might actually find yourself overwhelmed if you’re not careful. Seriously.

Warranty

The Plenty is protected by a 3-year manufacturer’s limited warranty that protects against all defects in manufacturing and craftsmanship. This is actually more than what most vapes offer as the standard warranty we’ve seen is closer to around 2-years. And our experience with their customer service team has always been nothing short of pleasant. They’re responsive, helpful, professional, and more than willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you’re a happy customer. In other words, should you run into any problems, don’t worry for a second because their team has more than got you covered.

Vapor Quality

We have mixed thoughts when it comes to the quality of vapor that the Plenty produces. It’s definitely plentiful, we’ll give it that. It’s also potent and from what we can tell, it’s efficient. But there is one area that we’re not thoroughly impressed and that’s in the taste department, which we’re attributing to its plastic mouthpiece and nothing else. It certainly doesn’t taste bad, just not as pure as the vapor that we’ve seen coming out of some of the other portables. Mind you, those of us at Vaporizer Shark are highly sensitive to the taste of plastic, which is what the mouthpiece is made out of, so that’s more than likely what’s causing the distortion in the taste. So it’s not that it’s not pure, but rather that you’re sucking it through a plastic mouthpiece that, for us, is less than ideal. For most users, from what we’ve gathered, this is hardly noticeable if noticeable at all. In other words, you probably won’t have any issue with the taste, but we wanted to note to all of you our findings regardless. But that aside, the vapor is incredible. The clouds that it produces are absolutely massive. So if you’re looking for a one-hitter-quitter style vaporizer, this is definitely the one. It’ll punch you straight in the face and you’ll love every second of it. And on top of this, thanks to its cooling coil, each and every hit of vapor is nice and cool. What more could you ask for?

The Plenty’s ability to produce some seriously impressive clouds of vapor is in no small part attributed to its massive heating chamber. While it undoubtedly holds a lot of blend, way more than your average vape, the key to its success is surface area. As it has a lot of surface area, it’s able to quickly heat up a large quantity of blend at the same time, which in turn allows it to create a lot of vapor very quickly. The end result? Massive clouds.

Final Thoughts

The Plenty is a bit clumsy and it’s certainly strange looking, but compared to other vapes, it does something that most can only dream of: it actually produce clouds so large that you can find yourself overwhelmed if you’re exercising a bit of caution while using it. If this is what you’re looking for, massive clouds, then you’ve found the right vape. What it lacks in portability, it more than makes up for in cloud production. If you need a potent vaporizer that can transform your dried blends and concentrates alike into thick, potent clouds of vapor, then you’ve found the right vape. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and when it comes right down to it: one of the best vapor producers on the market. If you’re interested in buying one, we suggest you buy it from an authorized dealer such as this store here.
