The new IQ vaporizer by DaVinci is a powerful portable designed to work with dried blends, but does it work with concentrated blend types like your liquids, oils, and the like? That’s the question that we’ve set out to answer in this vape guide so if you’re interested in finding the answer, look no further because you’ve most certainly found the answer that you’ve been looking for. Read on to find the answer that you’ve been searching for.

» The Long Answer

We want to start things off by saying that the IQ is NOT intended for use with concentrates, just dried blends. However, this does not mean that you can’t use it to vape your favorite concentrated blends. Instead, it simply means that the manufacturer, the DaVinci Vaporizer company, does not recommend vaping anything other than dried blends with the IQ and if you choose to do so, you likely do so at your own risk. But this does not mean that the IQ does not work with concentrates because it absolutely does! In fact, we thoroughly enjoy using it with non-liquid concentrates. But here’s the deal. If you have a liquid blend, we strongly advise against trying to vape it with the IQ. The same goes for any concentrates that might run, anything that’ll potentially liquefy when you heat it up. But for the concentrates that don’t liquefy when heated, there’s a good chance that you can vape them in the IQ without any issues – or at least, that’s the consensus we reached after extensively testing the IQ with a variety of different types of concentrated blends.

» The Short Answer

In short, the IQ most certainly does work with concentrates, but you want to be careful because any concentrated blends that might run could, potentially, cause damage to the vape’s internal components. The manufacturer may advise against it, but we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. It works and it works well.

» Usage Tip

When vaping these types of blends, you may want to sandwich it between some dry blend. Grind up your dry blend, pack a little in the oven, then insert your concentrate and pack some more dried blend in there so that the concentrate is resting between the dried blends. This, for us, has proven to be an awesome way to vaporize concentrates on the fly with the IQ.
