SPEED REVIEW (SUMMARY)

The 4-piece Space Case grinder is one of the best there is. It has a pollen collector to help extract concentrates from your ground blends, is crafted from sturdy aircraft grade aluminum block, and it works like a charm every time. If you're looking for a solid grinder that can handle fairly large quantities of dried blend, look no further - this 4 piece grinder by Space Case is what you're looking for. We recommend it for use with most vaporizers as it consistently provides a grind that's just right for most vapes.

*This is a quick summary, in-depth review below.

The “Standard” Space Case four piece grinder is CNC machined from aircraft grade billet aluminum block. Its teeth, which quickly shred dried blend with ease, are razor sharp and diamond cut. And the o-rings are Teflon grade, which ensures a smooth grinding process for you, the user. This all sounds well and all, but is it really worth the money? Does all this somehow equate into the high price tag that these little handheld grinders boast or is it too much for too little?

Well, when it comes to this standard 4 piece, we love the way it works — it’s easy to use, easy to maintain, and it does what it’s designed to do without any hiccups. Even the sifter works as intended, collecting fine particles in the chamber below. So between sifting your ground blends to extract concentrate and grinding with ease, what else could you really ask for from a grinder of this sort? Not much, if anything. This grinder does an excellent job and it’s clear to us why the Space Case brand has the reputation that it does for fine craftsmanship and quality grinding products. But the real question remains, is it worth the money? Skip down to our “Final Thoughts” below to find out!

Pollen Collector

When we refer to the four separate pieces that compose this grinder, some of you may not realize that the reason why there are four components instead of two or three is because it has a screen at the bottom of the chamber that captures your ground blend and beneath that screen is another chamber used to collect any fine particles that fall through. Or in other words, there’s a screen that sifts your blend, extracting concentrated matter that is collected at the bottom of the grinder. This is what 4 piece grinders are all about and one of the reasons why we’re quite fond of this particular SpaceCase grinder.

Options

This “Standard” model four piece Space Case Grinder is available in at least three different sizes, which are small (45mm), medium (57mm), and large (89mm). The small doesn’t hold much blend but it does fit easily into your pocket, whereas the large on the other hand holds a considerable amount of blend and makes blending a large chunk relatively easy in comparison. Where you stand in all of this is up to you–small, medium, or large–but what we can say is that the large size isn’t good as far as portability goes because if it even fits in your pocket, which it may not, it’s going to feel bulky at the least. Even the medium is a bit big for a pocket, although it is doable. So for portability, the small size is definitely the way to go.

There are also a couple of more options with this 4 piece grinder. For one, you can choose to get one with a magnetic lid, this helps keep it sealed and prevent slip-ups in which blend is spilled. Not a bad feature to have. The other option pertains to the material the grinder is constructed from, which in this case is aluminum. Instead of aluminum, the manufacturer offers titanium as an alternative. So for those who prefer titanium grinders to aluminum ones, there it is – the option you’ve been looking for.

Final Thoughts

In our opinion, for those who can afford it, there’s no question about it – this 4 piece Space Case grinder is a solid buy. We’ve never had any issues with teeth falling out or metal shavings contaminating our blend, which are issues we have seen in other grinders. With that in mind, this is one grinder that won’t let you down. We highly recommend it. If you’re interested in buying one, you can pick one up from this store here. But keep in mind, this particular grinder is not designed to grind your blend super fine, instead leaving it a bit course. For a super fine grind, we suggest you take a look at the Magic-Flight Finishing Grinder or an automated alternative.
