SPEED REVIEW (SUMMARY)

This is one seriously nice vape. It's small enough to be a true portable and it works well enough that you'll use it all the time. Its vapor production is impressive by portable vaporizer standards and even more impressive when you take into account how small/compact it is. Pure, thick, delicious, and smooth. Then there's the user-replaceable battery and pass-through charging features, which translate into endless vape sessions. The Arizer Go is everything you want in a portable vaporizer and then some. We highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable portable that's easy to use, easy to clean, and capable of producing thick, tasty clouds of potent vapor. If you're interested in buying the ArGo, we strongly suggest buying it from an authorized retailer such as this store here.

*This is a quick summary, in-depth review below.

Temperature

Like the new Solo and Air, both of which are also made by Arizer, the new ArGo has digital temperature controls that allow you to adjust the vaping temperature in 1-degree increments across a wide spectrum. The range starts at a low 122 degrees Fahrenheit (50°C) and runs all the way up to a hot 428 degrees Fahrenheit (220° C). While there are portables on the market that get hotter than this, the ideal temperature range for this particular vape is about 390-400°F. It doesn’t require anymore than this to properly extract what you want from your dried blend and turn it into tasty, potent vapor that’s surprisingly cool for its size, but more on that in the vapor quality section of this review.

For reference, the temperature can also be adjusted in 10-degree increments so you can jump around fast if you want to. And like the other Arizer vapes that boast the same easy to use digital controls, you can quickly jump to the last temperature you were vaping on when you used it last by simply turning it on and pressing a temperature adjustment button. This is a nice feature for those who have found their preferred temperature as it lets you pickup right where you left off without any hassle.

Heat Up Time

ArGo takes roughly one to two minutes to heat up. Of course this depends on the ambient temperature and how much juice it has left in its battery, but for the most part, we’re seeing heat up time just under a minute and a half, which isn’t bad, but could be better. Still, we’re hardly complaining given how small it is and how well it works, but it is a far cry from the near-instant heat up times we see with some of the other portables out there, like the Firefly 2. But again, this is hardly a reason to complain as roughly 90 seconds or so is definitely fast enough for a dry blend portable, especially one this size.

Battery Life

Taking a tip from vape mod manufacturers, or so we assume, Arizer has gone ahead and incorporated the user-replaceable battery function into this vape’s design. This allows you, the user, to quickly swap out a battery once it’s depleted and pop in a new one instead of waiting around for it to recharge. Although, notably, it also has pass-through charging which means you can use it while it’s charging, however, it does have to charge for about 15 to 20 minutes before it can be used like this.

A single battery, which is all it takes, lasts for about 1.5 hours. For its size, that is really impressive. Disregarding its size for a moment, that’s still fairly impressive and more than enough for what we imagine to be most users, however, for those that find it inadequate, thankfully there’s the option of swapping the drained battery out for a fully charged one, which takes mere seconds to do. Subsequently, we have to rate the ArGo very high as far as battery life is concerned because 1.5 hours is pretty good in itself and when you combine this with the fact that the battery is user-replaceable, you have a golden combination. Toss in pass-through charging and we just can’t find a single reason to complain, even if it does take about 3.5 hours to recharge the battery when it’s inserted into the vape. But even then, you can always use an external charger to charge it that much quicker. In other words though, the battery life is really a non-issue with this vape. More than enough juice to get the job done and if not, just toss in a backup battery and keep on going.

Weight & Size

Arizer’s new “Go” vaporizer weighs just 97 grams, making it one of the lightest portable vaporizers out there right now. It measures 52 millimeters long, 24 millimeters wide, and 83/93 millimeters tall. Translating these numbers, it’s one of the most compact portables for dry blend you’ll find right now and it works surprisingly well given its small size. Heck, it works surprisingly well period (size disregarded). This is one nice vape and its small size is one of its best features. If you’re wondering if it’ll fit in your pocket, our answer is yes. Not only will it fit, it’ll fit easily – with room leftover for extra batteries if you care to carry them.

Problems

As is the case with most, if not all, of the Arizer vaporizers that we’ve tested, the ArGo has no apparent problems. But that’s not to say that we don’t have any complaints, or rather, a single complaint – because we do. Only, this sole issue that we’ve found is hardly a deterrent against using it because it really is one of the nicest portables we’ve used, not to mention incredibly compact. But this one issue may cause you to set it aside at times, if only for a minute or two. The issue is that it gets a little warm at times, too warm to want to hold. This is after extended use at high temperature, but still, it happens. All you have to do is turn it off and set it down for a minute or so, giving it enough time to cool off before you continue using it. No big deal and only something that we run into when we’re deep into a serious session with multiple users. Hardly an issue but worth noting all the same. Outside of this, it’s basically problem-free.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Wondering how to clean the Arizer Go? We got you covered. It’s easy. All you really need to do is pop out the glass stem/mouthpiece and soak it in isopropyl alcohol for a little bit, take a q-tip to it if you really want to scrub it squeaky clean, and then rinse it under warm water before drying it completely and reinserting it into the oven. Other than, all you’re really going to be doing is brushing out the oven here and there, preferably after every session. This is one of the most straight forward cleaning processes. Hardly any effort and it takes up almost no time. Definitely one of the easier portables to keep up with in this regard.

Usage Tips

Here are some quick tips on how to use the Arizer Go. If you have your own tips to add to this list, be sure to contact us by filling out this form to let us know what they are.

  • Don’t overpack the stem when loading it with ground blend and don’t pack it too tight because doing so will reduce the airflow, which will inhibit proper vaporization of your blends. The reason for this is that the Go uses heated air to vaporize the blends so it needs to pass freely through the blend in order to efficiently and effectively vaporize it.
  • Ground your material coarse instead of fine. This is what the vaporizer prefers. It has no trouble vaporizing material when it’s coarsely ground and this will help ensure proper airflow throughout the blend while reducing time spent cleaning.
  • For the biggest clouds, crank up the heat and use a loosely packed, finely ground blend. While we just suggested that you don’t grind your blend all that fine in our last tip, to get the best cloud production, you’ll want to. Just be careful how tight you pack it because you want it to be nice and loose in there so the warm air can pass easily and freely through your blend. Packing it too tight will increase draw resistance, just another reason you’ll want to make sure it’s pretty loosely packed in there if you decide to use a finely ground blend.
  • Never use liquid blends or any blend that might liquify when heated as doing so could result in damage to the vape. You can, however, use concentrates that won’t run, but we don’t suggest it. If you insist on doing it anyways, we suggest you at least sandwich your non-runny concentrate between two layers of ground dry blend to keep it in place and prevent it from leaking down into the vape. And for reference, as far as we’re aware, Arizer does not condone nor recommend vaping concentrates with this vape so if you do it and you do damage your vape on accident, there’s a chance you might run into some issues with the repair/replacement because you may have voided your warranty in the process.
  • Use the menu button to access the brightness and reduce it to improve battery life.
  • Reduce the start up timer to get to vaping quicker. The timer can be accessed through the menu. This is basically a safety feature that prevents the vape from turning on in your pocket when you don’t intend for it to. Lowering the time translates into the vape turning on that much faster. We lowered it a bit and suggest you do as well given that the default setting is a bit overkill and results in you holding down the power button (technically two buttons pressed at the same time) for longer than you’d likely prefer.

Accessories

The new ArGo vape comes with the portable vaporizer itself, one rechargeable battery, a USB charger and power adapter, two glass aroma tubes (stems), a belt-clip carrying case that you probably won’t ever use, a stainless steel stirring tool that’s proven to be a useful poker, four spare stainless steel screens that you really don’t need to use, a manual/instructions, and two stem caps that we find particularly handy as they allow you to preload the stems with blend and then seal them for easy transportation and quick loading.

Warranty

Arizer’s Go is protected by a limited 2-year manufacturer’s warranty that protects against defects in material and craftsmanship, but it does not protect the battery itself. The heating element, which is really the core of the unit, is protected by a separate lifetime warranty. All of our encounters with their customer service team have left us nothing short of pleased so if you do run into any troubles, you can rest assured that they’ve got your back and will help resolve any issues that you might experience. Although, we doubt you’ll have any as all of their vapes, this one included, are on point – well manufactured and solid in every way.

Vapor Quality

We’re impressed. We really weren’t expecting much when we first tried it, but after that first hit, we were sold. This is a killer vape. Definitely top tier vapor production, which is more than a little surprising given its compact design, but then again, not all that surprising given who it’s made by, Arizer. The first hits are absolutely delicious. As the session progresses, the flavor gradually subsides and gives way to extremely potent hits. A session–which we define as a fully packed stem–or two usually does the trick. Anymore than that and we’re basically floored.

The vapor tastes extremely pure, thanks in no small part to Arizer’s choice of materials (basically stainless steel and glass). This results in some seriously tasty vapor that we struggle not to overindulge in. And as for smoothness, it’s actually a lot smoother than we were expecting given how small it is, which typically translates into rough hits due to the lack of time that the vapor has to cool before it hits you, but in this case- it’s more than acceptable, it’s good. As for density, it could be better, but when we blow out a fat cloud of visible vapor that chokes us up a little, it’s hard to imagine having any complaints. In summary, the vapor production with this vape is top of the line. It could be a little bit better, but given how small it is, we’re more than satisfied – we’re impressed. Just what we’ve come to expect from Arizer.

Final Thoughts

We love this vape. It’s super small, extremely easy to use, and it has excellent vapor production. Plus it has the user-replaceable battery design which translates into endless vaping sessions. It is quite literally everything we want out of a portable vaporizer designed for dry blends. Our only complaint? It gets a little too hot after extensive use. But that’s not enough of a reason for us to stop using it because this vape is as solid and reliable as it is convenient and effective. If you’re looking for something that you can carry with you wherever you go, something that won’t ever let you down – this is it. The Arizer Go is what’s up. You can buy it from this authorized retailer if you’re interested in picking one up for yourself. We highly recommend it. You will not be displeased. This is one awesome vape.
